Supplying Artwork Guidelines
We suggest setting your artwork at the following sizes in proportion to the size of the finished panel and minimum resolutions:
100% size at 300dpi
50% size at 300dpi
25% size at 300dpi
We suggest you send your print ready artwork as a high resolution .pdf (please read the information on supplying in .pdf format below)
We also accept various file types created in the following industry standard applications:-
Adobe Illustrator - up to and including CS3
Adobe In-Design - up to and including CS3
Adobe Photoshop - up to and including CS3
Please read the following information carefully:
Any PDF files sent to us MUST be print ready. This means that the PDF files MUST comply with all the instructions given below. In most cases, if the artwork is incorrect, we are unable to do anything about it but on occasion we can make alterations to PDF files but it depends entirely on its contents.
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE CHECKED YOUR FILE COMPLIES WITH OUR REQUIREMENTS BEFORE CREATING PDF'S. ANY ERRORS WILL CAUSE DELAYS IN PROCESSING YOUR JOB.
We cannot accept files created in CorelDraw or any other native PC application. We can however accept CorelDraw files that have been exported as EPS files as long as any fonts used in the file have been converted to outlines first. You can save your PC files as a PDF but please read the notes on PDF's above.
Artwork must be in proportion to the size of the finished output, ie:- full size, half size, quarter size etc. For bannerstands and pop-up systems, please make sure you know which stand you are creating artwork for as they do vary in size. If you are unsure of the exact dimensions, please call us.
Where possible, a colour proof should be supplied with your disc. If your file is being sent via email or FTP, a PDF (checked by yourself before sending) you should also try to send a colour visual. If a proof is not supplied, and unless we spot any obvious mistakes in your artwork, we will print what has been supplied.
Always include at least 5mm bleed on all artwork, unless otherwise stated by the product specification sheet.
All screen and printer fonts used in the job should be included unless you have converted the fonts to outlines.
All raster images should be supplied as CMYK EPS files although we will accept other formats such as TIFF files. We recommend EPS files as you have the option of using JPEG compression. As long as you use the maximum quality setting, any loss in image quality will be at the absolute minimum and not be noticeable. This will also make the file size much smaller and quicker to transport. Images should also ideally be supplied at least 300dpi at full size.
Ensure you do not have 'overprint' set on any objects within your files as this will cause colour errors on output.
Please be aware that as we print using a 4 colour process, we cannot guarantee an exact match of any given Pantone colour. If you have very specific colour requirements, please supply Pantone colour references or specify the CMYK split you wish to achieve and if available a colour sample. We will then try to match your colour as best as we can.
If supplying your own pop up display artwork we suggest sending either a hard copy colour proof or an Adobe PDF proof (low res) with your artwork. If you choose to use us for your design preparation we will supply proofs either by hard copy or via email as an Adobe PDF document.
If you require a set of reduced size colour proofs before we run to print your pop up display graphics we can organise this at a small cost.
If you are unclear of any of the above requisites or have any other queries,
please do not hesitate to call us on 01803 407407
